The team made up of Isaac Borg, Brandon Bonnici, Ylenia Micallef, Nicole Cremona and Chanelle Muscat, have won the Science and Technology Tournament for Years 6 and 7 at our school.
The challenge was to build a contraption using solar energy to heat water in a plastic container. Mr Borg who works with Eco-Group came to talk to us about solar energy while our Science Teacher, Mrs Cauchi, told us about heat, insulators, colours and other interesting stuff.
Well done to our winning team. We are proud of your effort and success.
Congratulations!

On Tuesday, 22nd May, we visited Notre Dame Gate at Vittoriosa where we were shown around by representatives of Fondazzjoni Wirt Artna. We were amazed at the beautiful halls and underground rooms there are in this historical site. The place is being restored to its former glory. Even a drawbridge is going to be built!
We also saw the enormous bust of GrandMaster Nicola Cottoner after whom the Three Cities : Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa - are named.
Chev. Tony C. Cutajar accompanied us during this visit. We have collaborated with this popular Maltese author on his new book : It-Tezor Mohbi ta' Bieb is-Sultan.
It was an educational experience which we shall not forget.

Today we were lucky to have Ms Lisa Hamlin read us a chapter from the book called HOOT. She read to us from the heart and we enjoyed every minute of it! Now we're looking forward to reading the rest of this exciting story!
Before she began to read for us, we each asked her a question to get to know her better.
She is a very friendly, out-going person and we shall never forget her! Before we left the reading-room, she gave us a pin with the colours of the American flag and a book by Mark Twain called The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
One of these was a small fan which had tiny solar panels attached to it. Karl kept the solar panels facing the sun and then showed us how the fan worked.
